[DISCONTINUED] BIU 1200 Series

The BIU-1200 Series Bus Interface Unit (BIU) interfaces 24 V logic signals to the SDLC serial bus in a TS 2 cabinet. The BIU interfaces between the Controller Unit and the Loop Detector Racks, Terminals and Facilities, and other devices in a NEMA TS-2 Cabinet Assembly.

Its functions include controlling load switch outputs, detector resets, and the conditioning and conversion of Terminals and Facilities and Loop Detector call outputs for the Controller Unit. A 15-pin, female, metal shell, D-subminiature connector with latching blocks provides the connection to the SDLC cable. The front panel has separate LED indicator lights for Power, Transmit, and Receive.
